Technical Fault

For some reason I can't seem to get pictures to load today, which makes the planned post entirely pointless, so I'll save that for another day.

In other news, it turns out that it wasn't a hangover I had yesterday, which is a relief given how little I actually drank. Instead, it seems the Terribles have had another visit from the stomach bug fairy. Our middle boy went under on Friday, and the others dropped one after the other yesterday afternoon, even as I tottered to my feet. This morning it was the wife's turn, and the house is now a scene of such Breugelian horror that I would not dare share the images even if I had a way to load them.

Normal service will (hopefully) be restored tomorrow. In the meantime, if I were you, I'd go disinfect thoroughly after reading this...

Get well soon. There's a lot of it about. Not just humans - all my friends are having computer problems. It surely is a love/hate thing.

Thanks, Pi. I try not to do love/hate with my laptop. It's not healthy to invest too much emotion in these mercenary little machines. Besides which the keyboard gets all sticky.

I think i spend more time with my laptop than I do with my husband on some days. That might be a sad indictment of society, or maybe just me but i do feel kinda ... close to my Wocky (laptop's name). It's no one-way thing either. I gaze fondly for hours into his pixels. I love to go on the wild journeys he takes me on and he gets excited at battery refreshing time. It's a modern marriage.

Hope the pox on the Terribles is lifted soon. Ginger tea's good for nausea and gippy tummies. Seriously.

Thanks for the tip, Sam. Unfortunately I'm allergic to ginger. Seriously. But maybe my wife will get some joy of the idea :)

I hear vodka kills germs quite well...

Again with the vodka, Jamie? That's your answer to everything, isn't it? Not that you're necessarily wrong, mind you.

Had the same thing blow through our digs some weeks ago. I was the last to get it. This didn't happen when I was childless. In my haze, I wondered about selling the kids to the military for non-lethal, but debilitating biowarfare purposes.

Get well to you and brood.

Cheers.
